    Amy Allison and Stephanie Meredith, executive directors of U.S. NGOs helping people with Down Syndrome, talked via Skype to Yekaterinburg an audience on January 27th. They shared information on inclusive education, speech development, and early intervention with medical specialists, teachers and NGO leaders.

    On January 20, Trevor Smith, Curator of Contemporary Art at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts, spoke with museum directors, art managers, educators, and students. The DVC entitled “Your Museum in the 21st Century” was the third in a series of video conferences concerning U.S. art management.

    On January 13, Consul General Michael Reinert, his wife Sanja Osmanovich, and other Consulate employees celebrated the New Year with children at the Klenovskoe shelter. The kids received toys and candy and spent the day playing games with American diplomats. The language barrier was no match for the excited youngsters.
