Summer Work and Travel Program
The purpose of the Summer Work/Travel program is to provide bona fide foreign post-secondary students an opportunity to become directly involved in the daily life of the people of the United States through travel and temporary work for a period up to four months during their summer vacation.
Applicants
- Must be enrolled in a full-time course of post-secondary study and pursuing a degree from an accredited educational institution
- All students in an undergraduate program may participate
- Must demonstrate they will resume studies after participating in SWT
- Final year students will need to show strong plans for graduate school or work after returning to Russia
- May be citizens of other countries as long as they are studying in Russia
- Need to demonstrate English proficiency at a level at which they can successfully perform their job and live in the U.S.
- Students who were previously refused may reapply
