VSMPO-Avisma titanium/aluminum production smelter and the VSMPO–Boeing UBM machining facility in V.Salda, Sverdlovsk Oblast
They met with VSMPO Deputy Director Alexander Mitrofanov and UBM CEO Gary Koessler to discuss opportunities to improve existing business cooperation in the region. VSMPO is the world’s largest titanium-producer, producing 98 percent of the world’s flat sheet titanium and 28% of its  titanium alloy. Ural Boeing Manufacturing (UBM) was formed in 2007 and began operations in 2009. UBM performs initial machining of VSMPO-AVISMA titanium forgings used in the production of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and the Boeing 737 aircraft line.
