TAmerican Center in Yekaterinburg hosted a video-conference with Robert Van Der Linden, the curator of the Smithsonian Institution’s National Air and Space Museum . Professor Van Der Linden talked about US-Russian cooperation  during World War II, with a particular focus on the  Lend-Lease program. Conference participants learned what  types of assistance were provided to the Allies, what obstacles had to be overcome to  deliver the military equipment and supplies, and as well as details about the American aircraft   that were included. The Professor described in detail several bombers and fighters and their advantages and shortcomings in the air.  He also answered numerous questions about financial and trade models of the lend-lease program, the internal situation in the US during the war and political genius of then-President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
