Tribute to Russia’s “Greatest Generation”

On May 3, CG Mike Reinert and cadets and faculty of the Suvorov Military School honored Russian veterans of the Second World War in advance of the May 9 “Victory Day” holiday.  The veterans shared their experiences in both the European and Asian military theaters and gave sage advice to Russia’s new generation of aspiring military officers.  All of the veterans acknowledged their warm feelings toward the U.S.  as a result of the wartime partnership, and the Consulate presented a copy of Tom Brokaw’s “The Greatest Generation” to each participant as a reminder of the contributions and sacrifices of American veterans.
