Step 2:
Go to your nearest Pony Express office to schedule an interview appointment. You will need:
Your passport
A completed and signed application form
One recent color photograph taken against a white background and measuring
about 2 inches x 2 inches (50mm x 50mm).
Any supporting documentation that you feel will help to demonstrate the purpose of your trip, the availability of funds to cover the trip, and your ties to Russia which will compel you to return home after a brief stay in the United States . Documents which show your personal financial situation, such as a letter verifying your employment, are particularly important. Submit photocopies only.
The non-refundable $131 (payable in Rubles only) visa application fee plus the variable Pony Express service fee .
Step 3:
Come to the Consulate at the appointed time for your interview, bringing original copies of supporting documents you have submitted to Pony Express . To expedite security procedures, bags and electronic devices, including mobile phones, should be left at home whenever possible. Directions to the Consulate .
Step 4:
In most cases, the Consul will determine an applicant's eligibility for a visa at the interview. If a visa is approved, the passport and visa will be returned to the applicant via Pony Express.
