Perm Students Honored by Consul General

CG Scott Rauland hosted a lunch for the winners of English language essay contests commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Perm-Louisville sister city relationship.
Yelena Shenkarenko from school No. 7 won the high school competition, writing on the theme “If I were born in Louisville, Kentucky”. Svetlana Sankina, a 1st year student at Perm State University won the 2nd prize in the competition for university students writing about the “mission of the sister cities’ movement”. Joining the students for lunch was Tatiana Izmailova, an English language teacher at school number 7. The competition was supported by the Perm City administration, the City of Louisville and the Perm American Corner.
