American Corner Coordinators Visit Yekaterinburg

The U.S. Consulate hosted the American Corner Coordinators from the Ural region and Kallingrad for a three-day workshop on February 1st – 3rd. In a group setting the Coordinators along with Consulate staff discussed the future direction for Corners and ways to expand programming in order to reach new audiences. Participants held several role playing and training sessions to improve communication and motivation skills. The group took part in a sample event at the American Center devoted to cross-cultural communication. Many new and innovative ideas emerged from the workshop, which should translate into new and improved programming at the region’s Corners.
