Visit of U.S. Speaker Margie Freaney to Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk

U.S. Speaker Margie Freaney, expert and media trainer of International Centre for Foreign Journalists, Washington, D.C. conducted a Business and Economic Reporting Course at Business Journalism School in Yekaterinburg Humanitarian University (March 14-22).  The School is a joint project of Association of Independent Russian Publishers (ANRI), AbakPress Publisher, Yekaternburg and Humanitarian University, Yekaterinburg.

Margie Freaney, former editor of Baltimore Business Journal; former executive editor of Atlanta Business Chronicle and academic director of Caucasus School of Journalism and Media Management visited Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk under a U.S.government Speaker program (intellectual and professional exchange programs.)

Margie Freaney’s Business and Economic Reporting Course focused on numerous aspects of business news reporting as well as journalist’s professional ethics. Her workshop at the Humanitarian University (March 14-22) as well as her seminars and round table discussions on economic reporting with the media community in Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk (March 23-29) received a high appraisal from the journalists.
