Internet Conference on Russian View of America in the XIX Century

On April 19th, PAS Yekaterinburg held an Internet-conference between Dr. Natalya Suchugova, professor of the Russian State Humanitarian University, Moscow, and author of a book entitled Diplomatic Mission of John Quincy Adams шт 1809-1814, and forty secondary school students and their teachers. The conference topic was Russian View of America at the Beginning of the XIX Century. Dr. Suchugova's lecture for the students was illustrated with the contemporary paintings and documents. The students asked many insightful questions on life and achievements of John Quincy Adams. These secondary school students have been working on the Internet projects on John Quincy Adams as the first U.S. Minister to Russia to mark the 200th anniversary of the U.S.-Russian diplomatic relations.
