Drawings by American Children Exhibited in Yekaterinburg
May 16, 2006
It’s not only the future that is in children’s hands, but the present as well. Today’s children want to discover, play, make friends and communicate with their counterparts around the globe. The International Children’s Arts Festival “The Rainbow Belt of the World”, that took place in Yekaterinburg May 10-12, was a bright confirmation of this fact. U.S. Consul General John Stepanchuk attended the gala concert of the festival and toured the arts exhibit. The exhibit represented seven countries, including a section featuring art by U.S. high school students. The festival highlighted the arts as a means to achieve mutual understanding and develop appreciation for other cultures.
