IRO in Jakarta Joins Yekaterinburg Libraries On-Line

PAS Yekaterinburg helped to connect the local libraries with IRO Pam Dragovich based in the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta. On June 20th, the one-hour Internet conference that connected two public libraries, one children's library, one university library in Yekaterinburg, and the U.S. Embassy in Indonesia demonstrated how technologies are advancing library services. IRO Pam Dragovich talked about the future of the U.S. public library to an audience of around 30 librarians, university professors, and students. This event was a part of the Third Ural-Siberian Science and Industry Exhibit. The on-line conference was covered by a TV channel Studio 41.
