On July 1st U.S. Consul General John Stepanchuk took part in the charity marathon "In Kind Hands" organized by TV Studio 41. The marathon was devoted to stray animals, and the beneficiaries of the collected donations were a non-profit charity foundation "Help for Animals" and a shelter for stray animals "Silver Pine Wood." Mr. Stepanchuk explained how American cities have sought to solve the problem of stray cats and dogs. During the 2-hour air marathon citizens of Yekaterinburg donated money to the Foundation's bank account, brought food for animals at the shelter, and bought kittens and puppies found by the Foundation's members on the streets.
