Consul General Scott Rauland Departs Yekaterinburg
July 15, 2005
U.S. Consul General Scott Rauland has left Russia after completing his two-year tour of duty in Yekaterinburg. He will shortly take up a new position at the U.S. Consulate General in Frankfurt, Germany. Before his departure, Scott Rauland paid a farewell visit to Sverdlovsk Oblast Governor, Eduard Rossel, who thanked him warmly for his contribution to strengthening political, economic and cultural links between the USA and the Urals region.
Scott Rauland’s successor, whose name will be duly published on our website, is expected in Yekaterinburg in late August. In the interim, Political and Economic Officer Matthew Purl is Acting U.S. Consul General in Yekaterinburg.
We wish Scott every success in the new stage of his life and career.
