U.S. Consul General Took Part In the 290th Anniversary of Omsk, Western Siberia

At the invitation of Mayor Victor Shreider, Consul General John Stepanchuk visited Omsk August 5-6 to participate in the festive events devoted to the 290th anniversary of city. The diverse and intense program of the celebration only added to the city’s native beauty. Visitors could only admire the new sports palace, renovated city roads, a magnificent botanical garden, a picturesque crafts fair and the numerous talents of Omsk’s citizens demonstrated during the City Parade.
Beyond the festivities of the visit, the Consul General discussed a wide range of issues on U.S.- Russian cooperation in Western Siberia at City Hall, the Omsk Law Institute, the Omsk Chamber of Commerce and Omsk Oblast’s Electoral Committee.
