Future Firefighters Commemorate U.S. Rescuers of 9-11

The American Center hosted an event in commemoration of the 5th anniversary of September 11th, 2001. PAO Virgil Strohmeyer, opened the event and finished his speech with the reading of responses of local people to the tragic events of five years ago. The audience also listened to the song The Bravest by Tom Paxton about New York firefighters, and to Amazing Grace performed by the young students of a jazz school at the end of the event.
The core of the event was a documentary movie, New York Firefighters: the Brotherhood of September 11th. Future firefighters from the College of the Ministry of Emergency Situation attended the event together with the general public. The future rescuers expressed their respect for the American firefighters, and said that the documentary inspired them to serve the people. Six local TV channels reported on the event.
