Consul General John Stepanchuk made his first official visit to the City of Miass
September 13, 2007

On September 13, Consul General John Stepanchuk made his first official visit to the city of Miass in Chelyabinsk oblast.  Miass is an industrial town also known for its nearby vacation spots near pristine lakes and forests.  The Consul General met with Miass Mayor Viktor Georgiyevich Ardabyevskiy and head  Deputy City Councilor Shvedchik at the city offices.  Consul General Stepanchuk also had the opportunity to tour one of the nearby leisure centers owned by local businessman Oleg Sirotin.  As well as a hotel and outdoor recreational activities, the center offers a large and comfortable Chinese traditional medicinal center, the first of its kind in the region, complete with Chinese doctors and staff.
