Exhibition of George Woodall’s paintings (Seattle)

In September – November 2004 in the Perm State Art Gallery a personal art exhibition of an American artist George Woodall (Seattle, WA) took place.

George Woodall has been having creative relationship with Perm since 1994. He is a co-organizer and an active participant of the International Ice and Snow Festival annually held in Perm: as a Seattle snow team leader he took part in seven festivals. Mr. Woodall displayed his works at several art exhibitions in Perm, organized a number of youth art exchanges between Perm and Seattle; in 2003 he lectured at the Design Department of Perm State Technical University.

In Perm George Woodall displayed about 40 of his best works (paintings, etchings and mixed media collages) - the result of several years’ work. The Gallery had had in possession some of his works already. George Woodall worked on the arranging of this solo exhibition for a year and a half and called it “George Woodall: Russia through the Eyes of an American”.

At the opening the TV cameras of almost all local stations, radio microphones were there along with a host of friends and other art lovers. The exhibition received a very good coverage by the media.
