III Urals Investment Forum

The 3rd Urals Investment Forum got underway in Chelyabinsk on October 23, 2003.
The main goals of the Forum are:
· To show investment attractiveness of the Urals Federal District;
· To share existing experience and discuss the problems of enterprises in realization of different investment projects;
· To introduce different financial instruments for the development of private enterprise
Representatives of regional administrations, Russian and foreign financial institutions, enterprises from Urals Federal District are participating in the Forum.
A practical conference “Instruments for the Development of Private Enterprise," as well as panel sessions on different financial issues took place during the first day of the Forum.
The Urals BISNIS Representative Alyona Yelshina participated in the Forum.
Representatives of all the regions forming the Urals Federal District conducted presentations on investment potential of the regions and the most perspective investment projects on October 24 – the second day of the Forum.
Diplomatic missions visited the III Urals Investment Forum to discuss the opportunities as well as the barriers for foreign investment.
Barbara Cates, Political and Economic Consul, US Consulate General in Yekaterinburg spoke on “What Attracts US Investors in the Urals Region”.
