Consul General Scott Rauland opens the International Education Week and ELF Erik Lundell's Workshop

Opening of International Education Week in Yekaterinburg

A three-day long series of English language workshops began today in Yekaterinburg for Yekaterinburg and Sverdlovsk Oblast teachers. The workshops are being run by, Erik Lundel, an English Language Fellow supported by the U.S. Consulate General’s and Embassy Moscow’s English Language program. The workshops are the first in a series of events devoted to the celebration of International Education Week. At the opening of the workshop, U.S. Consul General Scott Rauland thanked the teachers for their efforts in educating the young generation and their work in bringing our cultures closer. A former teacher of Russian, Mr. Rauland expressed his belief that teachers of different countries do the common work of making the world better, and the International Education Week provides an opportunity to commend the millions of people who build and strengthen bridges of international understanding by organizing and participating in exchange programs and educational projects.
