World AIDS Day (Dec 1, 2006) - U.S. Consulate General Yekaterinburg, Russia

A round table discussion will take place December 4 at 15:00 at the American Center (193 Mamina-Sibiryaka Street). Experts from Sverdlovsk Oblast AIDS Center, NGO leaders, journalists and people living with HIV/AIDS will take part in the discussion.

November 30 NGO Razvitiye experts held a 3-hour workshop for the Social Teachers Department of the Urals State Pedagogic University. Over fifty students took part in the seminar, having discussed the issues of the disease prevention and control, overcoming stigma and assisting people living with HIV/AIDS and their families. The workshop has been organized in frames of a grant project under the U.S. Embassy Small Grants program.
