Scott Rauland visits the award ceremony of the winners of the contest for school students “Human rights in the modern world.”

The award ceremony took place at the Youth museum on December 5. The contest is a part of the project “Encouraging education in the field of Human Rights in Russia” established by UN Human Rights Commissariat and RF Foreign Affaires Ministry. In the Urals the contest was arranged by the Educational Human Rights Center of Yekaterinburg “Memorial” society and the Charity Foundation for the support of civil society initiatives “Fulcrum”, Moscow. Addressing over thirty students from all over the Urals who participated in the ceremony Scott Rauland emphasized the importance of the young generation involvement in the civil society building process of which Human Rights are an integral part. He came up with the idea of holding a joint round table discussion on Human Rights with the American students.
